Compatibility Comes Before Inflation
Confirm that the tire and rim are approved to work together. Check whether the rim is hooked or hookless, the permitted tire construction, the pressure ceiling, measured tire width and frame clearance. Do not assume that two products marked 鈥渢ubeless ready鈥?form an approved combination.
A Serviceable Setup Sequence
- Inspect and clean the rim bed without damaging it.
- Install the specified tape and valve where required.
- Fit the tire and inspect both bead lines.
- Inflate only with the method and pressure allowed by the manufacturers.
- Check the bead is even around both sides.
- Add or distribute sealant according to the tire and sealant instructions.
- Test the bead, valve and rim bed for leaks.
- Recheck pressure after the initial setup and a short controlled ride.
Where Air Loss Usually Starts
Air can leave at the tire bead, valve, tape, casing or a puncture. The place where bubbles appear is not always the original leak because air can travel under tape before escaping at a spoke hole. Diagnose the route before adding more sealant or pressure.

Maintenance and Roadside Planning
Sealant dries with time, heat and airflow. Inspect it according to the product instructions and local conditions. Carry a repair method that fits the tire and rim system, plus a tube when the route or event makes self-recovery important. Before relying on a tube, confirm the valve can be removed and the tire can be demounted safely.
